Any shoppers out there who are skeptical of glowing 5-star reviews ought to take a gander at my review history. I'm very critical of a lot of the things I review. I hand out many low marks, even though I receive free products as part of the Amazon Vine Program. But I absolutely LOVE this Thermos! It was exactly what I was looking for - my wife will attest that I can't stop raving about its great features. Let me spell them out:
* It has a large capacity. Although I'm a bit ashamed to admit it, 24 ounces is about how much coffee I drink on a daily basis. This Thermos allows me to take coffee with me on my morning commute and save a lot of time and money in the process.
* It has an excellent sip-lid for drinking straight from the Thermos. In my opinion this is the single best feature of the product. I like many different travel mugs, especially Contigo no-spill thermoses, but most of them are too small. This one is both large and has an excellent sipping lid - a unique feature compared to those old-fashioned Stanley thermoses that only allow you to pour.
* It is very easy to clean. This is a HUGE advantage over my Contigo thermos, which has small crevices and an intricate mechanism that makes cleaning tough. First, it has a very wide mouth that allows any cleaning brush to easily enter. Secondly, this Thermos has a very simple design that prevents coffee/milk/sugar buildup in hard-to-reach places. The lid has a flip-open design and really only two parts. The first part is the top of the lid that flips up; the underside is covered with soft rubber that seals the mug and prevents leaks. So far I have had no problems with the rubber detaching or slipping. The second part is the sipping lid itself, which has only one small hole for sipping, and one tiny airvent, just like an old-fashioned travel mug. When you close the flip-up lid, the soft rubber compresses into the hole and airvent and seals everything up tight. This simple but smart design makes cleaning very easy -- much unlike my Contigo, which always gets stinky rotten milk stuck in the mechanism. Any Contigo user knows exactly what I mean.
* It insulates very well. The sticker that came with it says that it'll keep things cold for 24 hours, and warm for 12 hours -- something like that. I would say this is probably accurate. I live in the blistering Texas heat. The insulating properties are so good that I could make iced coffee, drink it on the way to work, and there would still be bits of ice clanging around when I drove home after 6:00 at night -- despite sitting in a hot parking garage all day in 100+ heat. One time I tried it the next morning and my day-old iced coffee was still cold enough to feel like it was fresh out of the fridge.
* The color is nice.
Are there any cons? Well, I can't think of many. I guess it could use a handle to make carrying easier. It fills the whole hand a can sometimes be tough to carry in from the car with groceries or bags... But overall I love this product and would pay good money for another one if this ever gets lost. Kudos for a great product!

I've had this product for two days now and discovered it pretty much lives up to the claims it makes:
1.Keeps liquids hot for 18 hours
2.Keeps liquids cold for 24hours
I put boiling water <212*F using a digital thermometer my son uses for science experiments> and checked periodically, the temperature dropped to 101*F at about 14 hours. So not quite boiling hot more like luke-warm at that point but I thought this was still good mileage.
I placed crushed ice in it and without being scientific, the following day the ice was still in the Thermos.
The cap has a steel flip clip lock that fit over a seamless push button second lock, all very easy to flip open with one hand/finger while driving. No way is this going to spill unless you drop it while the lid is open.
Lightweight, smooth yet easy to grip, I liked the feel of this while driving and at 24oz you'll get some great coffee refills with this excellent product. It also fit easily into my drink holder- I should mention the drink holders in my car are slightly larger than normal) it should be noted that while drinking and driving the lid flips rather awkwardly upward impeding your view which naturally one should be cautious of and because of the location of the drinking well it's impossible to rotate, def. a design flaw which surely Thermos will ultimately fix if it's paying attention to reviews.
Personally, I was impressed with this product and will find it useful for coffee, evening workouts, and sporting events.

This is the third Thermos I've received in this series (all in the amazingly beautiful cranberry color) and I love all of them. Like the others, this holds coffee hot for the whole day. I put coffee in it this morning, drove around with it in the car (in 30-40 degree weather) and it was still hot at the end of the day.
I love that this version is 24 oz so I can fill it up and not run out during a long drive. But - and this is these are only negatives I have to say about this Thermos of the series - the button to pop the top is right on the ledge where you drink from so I find that my bottom lip and mouth rests on it, which is uncomfortable, and the bottle is slightly too high to go in a cabinet in the kitchen.
As for the button, it's an odd place for it. A little lower and it wouldn't impact drinking. The tallness of the bottle simply means it goes underneath the counter, but I'd prefer it to be a little shorter. Both of these are my opinions about design but I want to stress how awesome this series is. I've never had a better spill proof drink bottle that kept coffee hot for longer than this.
UPDATED AFTER A WEEK OF USE: I'm lowering my score from 4 to 3 stars. Here's why: the container is oddly shaped so it doesn't fit in cup holders well and falls out of mine in my truck and doesn't fit in mine in my van. The large size with a lack of a handle makes it hard to hold on to. The metal latch that holds it closed works to keep it locked up but can't be operated easily in gloves (which I'm wearing because it's winter!) So these things along with the oddly placed button and too tall size (see above) means that I don't recommend this one. There are others that are better for either commuting (Thermos Stainless King 16-Ounce Leak- Proof Travel Mug with Handle, Midnight Blue) or storage for long commutes (Thermos Stainless King 40-Ounce Beverage Bottle, Midnight Blue). I do prefer the cranberry color! Hope this helps.
