Too top heavy to use

I wonder if the other reviews are real - "I take my bubba.." and "buy two". They just sound like advertisements from a seller. Firstly, this isn't an awful travel mug, and I really wanted to like this product because it is the only thing like a Sonic cup that I could find. I was looking for something about 30 oz with a lid and with a smaller base so it could fit in my car's cup holder. I never drink coffee this large so I've only used this for cold liquids.
It does keep things cold well so I assume it would keep things warm also. It seems well made although the gasket in the lid looks questionable - I expect it will leak over time, but I haven't experienced any problems thus far. I don't believe this is dishwasher safe though - I haven't tried it because of the gasket. I also like the flip top so it seals completely.
The main reason I don't use this cup is because it is bulky and top heavy. I think the handle is the main issue. It's a really big handle on something that is barely balanced on its small base. If you ever nudge the handle without getting your fingers around it, the whole mug is going to tumble everytime. It would be better to have us grasp the body of the mug, but its body design is too thick to hold comfortably. I have never flipped it out of the cup holder in my car, but when it is full, it does feel like it could happen on a sharp corner.
A minor complaint is that the drink hole will only hold a straw if you squeeze the straw - it's too narrow for a standard straw. When you drink from the rim, it limits how quickly the liquid comes out - I'm assuming in case you have hot coffee. But with an iced drink, it's like you have nothing to sip and then it almost overflows when it burps the liquid out. I believe ice is blocking the sip hole causing this.
All in all, I would use this if I could stop tipping it. It's really that bad a design. I have taken it to the lake and such - since it doesn't matter if you drop a cup outside. My suggestion - go with the 20 oz version if you choose to buy one of these.

Must-Have Bubba for Cup Holders

This is my go-to travel mug because: 1) It's huge, 2) It's well insulated and holds ice for many hours, & 3) It fits in most cup holders, even the smaller non-expanding ones. Score! Yes, it is a bit top-heavy so you must set it on a flat surface. No big deal. If you want a huge drink capacity that fits in a standard cup holder, it's a given that it must be wider at the top. Best Bubba Ever, Highly Recommended. Enjoy!

I can't make this thing stop leaking, no matter how much I tighten the cap. What a waste of money.
